Guyana
Mission

Ray Garaway longtime minister for the Ykinipa church of Christ in
Guyana. For fourteen years Ray and his wife Inez lived in
the jungle working with this village. His messages are
enlightening as well as inspirational. Ray passed away this past year. The
congregation continues thrive inthe the deepest parts of the Amazon.

We have for the past eight years been privileged to travel and assist in the work
with the Amerindians of Guyana, South America. Two to three trips are made each
year by several members of the brotherhood consisting of several congregations.
Our brothers and sisters live with the most basic of needs. No electricity, running
water, stores close by, or any of the amenities that you and I take for granted
every day.

St. Monica church of Christ is our newest established congregation. Barely 6 years
old, it continues to grow. Reaching out to those up and down the Pomeroon River.

Ykinipa church of Christ is our oldest of congregations. Established 16 years
ago, it thrives deep in the amazon. With one of the most dynamic of youth groups
anywhere in the world, these members show great resolve.
